"Online friends", sounds like a very interesting funda, but does it really work?
Communicating behind a lit up screen seems pretty easy, but there's no emotion involved. It's just mere flattery, saying sugar coated words, making someone feel special. Do they really feel about you the way they express? You won't ever know that for sure.
They pretend to be there for you. But they won't stand by you, how would they? They probably wouldn't even be knowing that you're going through a tough time in life. And when you're facing such times, you won't go running to an online friend. That's when your real friends come to mind. No matter what, your real friends will always stand by you, through thick and thin, and when waters run deep. They won't tell you sweet nothings often, but who needs that, when their actions speaks volumes!
Also, you would never get to know who your online friends are in real life, after all you just have a profile picture to rely on. That could just easily turn out to be fake.
We are human beings, living our lives in the present, in a real world. So cherish your real friends in this world of pseudo online friendships, because there just happens to be very few real ones.
