Hall Of Darkness

Info

Sunaina asked Aisha. She asked Aisha as to why she was so woebegone when she talked about life. Sunaina kept asking this.

Aisha finally made her lips tremble. Sunaina watched Aisha's lips tremble and yearned for her reply.

Aisha finally answered, "HE MADE ME THIS". Sunaina urged to hear more from Aisha. She made herself curious enough to sit beside Aisha and ask what the matter was. She held Aisha's hand and looked deep into her eyes as tears rolled over on Aisha's cheeks.

Aisha stood up, touched the windowsill, looked at the burning skies, and dropped a tear again. She took out her sitar which was kept in its case. She said " when I was playing my sitar yesterday, the first string broke. Now even if I play, the sound of this instrument won't be produced. I can repair it. But the broken strings of my life cannot be repaired." So saying, she walked to the window again and sighed.

"Yes the person who gave me smiles everyday, took them away in no time. His face glowed. His chromatic hair swayed all the time. His eyes shined. His smile left me breathless. His movement in and around the campus made my heart skip beats.

Ummmm..probably the phrase "butterflies in the stomach" will be appropriate to describe what happened to me every time I saw him.  I never expected that the very same person could also stab my heart. He was smart. He took me over every time I saw him. He was popular in the college, just like me. Somehow destiny made our eyes meet. It had decided to play games with us. Though I had my eyes locked up to the ground, his eyes on my face made me look at him.

Time and destiny together decided to make our eyes meet. Cause the moment I was out, he was there to gaze into my eyes and smile at me. He was an year older to me and he seemed to look at me every time." So saying she sighed again.

Sunaina knelt down, confounded at the thought of Aisha experiencing love. She asked.." and then?"

Aisha looked at Sunaina and cried inconsolably. Sunaina embraced Aisha to make her okay. Aisha wiped her tears before continuing.  "I learnt that his name was Ankit. Ankit Patel. " she said.

" Ankit? So this Ankit is your person? Look at my little girl who has a person with good name."  Sunaina said with her eyes teasing Aisha. Aisha chuckled  a bit, then cried again, then did both together. " He's no more I guess" she said with a choke in her voice.

Sunaina was bewildered. she asked " what?how?"

Aisha went into the kitchen,  brought some biscuits for her mate and sat on the chair. She took out his photo from her shelf, looked at it and kissed it.
