Home Remedies to Treat Insect Bites

Info

Nearly everywhere you live on the planet, some tiny creatures and insects will sting you or bite you. They either see you as a threat or a food source for their survival.

Commonly, stings from insects are bees, ants, and wasps. Their sting penetrates the skin injecting poison into your body.

While ants and bees can sting you multiple times, a honeybee only stings once. It leaves its stinger underneath your skin, with a sack of venom at the surface. It is tempting to panic and wipes it off with your hands, but this will only make the venom worse.

It's quite painful and shock-inducing. You can keep your cool and slide your finger under the sac to remove the sting. The edge of a knife or your bank's edge could be used to remove the sting.

An allergic reaction to a bee sting or a wasp bite can be fatal. Medical attention must be sought immediately.

An allergic reaction is characterized by hives, swelling of the throat and mouth, rapid heartbeat, and laboured breathing.

If you get many stings or bites but don't have an allergy, you should seek medical attention immediately. We will assume that you were stung once.

These natural remedies can be used to relieve the pain of insect bites.

1.To sting bees, mix a teaspoon of bicarbonate soda in glass water until it dissolves. Next, dip a cotton wool bud into the solution to wet the area. Finally, secure it with sticky tape and place it on the sting.

2.To sting wasps, soak the cotton wool bud in vinegar. Wet the area first, and then apply the sticky tape to the sting.

3.If you have Papaya, put a slice of it on the painful area. Papaya contains enzymes that reduce inflammation and swelling.

4.Add some onion or garlic to the sting area.

5.To reduce swelling, crush an aspirin and add water to make a paste. WARNING: If you have an allergy to aspirin, do not apply it. Do not use aspirin for children.
