Hope

 Humans are rational beings. Our main intention is to satisfy our desires. I have heard from many people that no one will befriend you unless you are financially stable or you satiate their whims. People will never be happy for your achievements and never expect someone to lend you a shoulder when you are in need.My gran says that times have changed a lot. There is no one you can trust these days.Well, may be they are true. They have seen the world more than I did.

But in my twenty years, I have seen hope. Learnt to HOPE.

 I see strangers making sacrifies. Look at our army force. They spend sleepless nights,away from their families, so that we can have a sound sleep.  When gay marriage was legalized in the USA people across the world have celebrated. We do seek pleasure in others' happiness- seldom do we realize that.

I have seen unity- the feeling of togetherness- when the entire nation got out of their homes to demand justice for a young woman who had been brutally assaulted.

We all hoped India would win the world cup. Well,though it lost to West Indies, we didn't degrade our team. Tears in everyone's eyes, and hearts still won! More over most of the people I know, supported WI in the finals. And after their victory, you very well know the applauds!

And here people say that humanity is lost.

Well I always learnt to see the brighter side. Always HOPED for the best. And tried my best.

A greeting to the vendor sitting in the sun,his wave in return; a hi to the next door dadi and immense satisfaction in her eyes; innocent smiles of the children in the park; a stranger's helping hand in the grocery store; a hug from your friends; deep talks with your family; a flower from the florist when you are distressed; everywhere around us, I witness happiness or maybe I am made to feel joyful, and they say humanity is dead.

I reckon they are wrong. As long as there is mankind, humanity will never be dead.

Yeah, we are rational beings, but not heartless brutes. And I Hope we make this world a better place to live in! Hope is all I have...
