I did a survey and I came to the conclusion that there are certain things one can follow to unlove the one you loved once. As if you want to take this steps then if may have some reasons behind it. So here it goes..
1. First of all try to make yourself comfortable enough with the thought, I know that will not be easy at first but you have to do it as consider this as the first step.
2. Just recall the things, like all the memories you have together, all the good times and all the bad times. Try to connect with the memories, laugh with it and cry with it.
Once you did that now try to let go all the memories, all the things you are connected to it, for eg. if you are connected to a song try to let go the feeling with that song, so that whenever you listen that again you will not feel that feeling of pain.
3. You need to accept the reasons for loving that person and for letting go that person. You need to forgive yourself and the person you want to unlove. I am saying again this will not going to be easy but if you really wants to UnLove someone you need to be brave enough to accept that.
4. Tell that person truth, tell him/her everything you are going through, may be communication can help you leave the thought of unloving your partner. But if not then you need to proceed for next step.
5. Try to make yourself strong, don't pretend just feel that, and you need to tell yourself everything's gonna be fine soon, all you need to do is be brave. This decision can free your soul.
6. Now delete the contact, no don't think that you are being mean or you can be just friends may be in future you can be friends again but as in for now you need to delete every single thing which can connect you with all those feelings again. Unfriend him/her, delete contact details, block him/her if you feel necessary. Hide all the things that remind you of your love.
7. In this step you need to heal yourself, try meditation. Let all the thoughts flow out and make space for new thoughts. Try to spend sometime with yourself, try to love yourself. You may think that I am being insane or illogical but once you try this you will know that its part of the procedure.
8. Never try to ignore your own feelings, at times you will feel alone, you may feel crying, I suggest just do it. If you want to cry then cry. If you are feeling alone try to talk to someone anyone your friends, and you don't need to talk about this you just need to talk about anything and you will feel better in no time.
I hope this will help you in someway, rest you already know what to do, what is right for you, you already need to be little bit strong to make the move.
One more thing by unloving someone doesn't mean that you can escape her/his from your thoughts but you can mange a place for them in your mind where their thoughts will not bother you but the thoughts makes you stronger then earlier.
