The first step to washing your face is taking good care of your skin before you start. You should exfoliate your skin at least once per week using a gentle scrub. Exfoliating helps remove dead cells and debris from the surface of your skin while stimulating circulation and opening pores. Use a cleanser that doesn't strip your skin of natural oils, and use warm water to wash your face.

Next, cleanse your face thoroughly. Lather up a small amount of cleansing product onto your fingertips, then gently massage it over your face and neck. Rinse off any excess product with lukewarm water. If you have oily skin, you may want to add some moisturizer to the mixture.
After cleaning your face, apply a thin layer of moisturizer, starting with your forehead and moving down towards your chin. Continue applying the moisturizer throughout the day until your skin feels soft and supple.
If you're going outside, make sure to apply sunscreen to protect yourself from harmful UV rays. Look for products labeled SPF 30 or higher.
Take extra care of your makeup after you've washed your face. To help keep makeup looking fresh, follow these steps:
Remove eye makeup with a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol.
Remove mascara with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol.
To get rid of dirt that's built up under your the eyes, try using a dampened cotton ball to wipe away the dirt.
