I was watching TV with my AC on. The temperature set was 19 degrees. I was engrossed in my work. Nothing much serious although but yes, still an important work. It's my school work.
Ahem!! It was the Summer Cool Enjoyment Sheet of my children which kept me handsfull since few hours. Ah ! That same sheet.I was relaxed. Ask me why??? Very simple, all the answers were learnt by now.
So many colours, hues, shapes spread around in that quarter sized Green chart paper on my little table.
A child's imagination has no limits. It needs wings to fly and a little push for ignition. That is what I did to the little boy, Teshu as I call him.
That day Teshu was down in tears as he too wanted to get the certificate for the Best Enjoyment Sheet. Those pearl drops were very precious for him. I told him not to lose them because shedding tears will not fetch him the certificate. Awww....poor him. He took out his small yellow Ben 10 hanky to wipe his tears and promised me that he will work hard to make his assignment the best.So there he goes. A kick-start and the ignition was on for my sweet little Teshu.
I told him to bring a chart paper, his favorite colours, glue and his most favourite chocolate, Kinder Joy. Sounds yummy, isn't it? Thinking about it makes me feel like licking it. It's the shape which attracts the little ones.
"Andaa" is the word which comes out from my nephew's mouth seeing this attractive Kinderjoy. So funny, right? Anyway, I told him to start with the colouring first. Then I asked him to eat that 'Andaa', I mean KinderJoy.Haaahaaahaaa...He was very hesitant to have that Chocolate. Can you ever imagine, your teacher asking you to quickly finish the chocolate so that the wrapper can be used???? I had no options.. Just then, my "Jumping Jack", my 12year old daughter barged into my room. No greetings at all but a hug to Teshu was what I liked about her. Somehow she could sense the turmoil which he was undergoing then. That little touch of personalization pepped him a lot. I knew that my role was over and that Teshu was in safe hands.Full fun and work was going on. The kinderjoy wrapper was painted and pasted on the green chart paper. The wrapper of the Kinderjoy was turned into sweet twosome 'Humpty Dumpty' and later the wall was painted beautifully in the paper. And flowers and butterflies were pasted to give it an ambiance of a garden. The worksheet was done in a neat writing. When the cover page was done, Teshu had a satisfying smile on his face. A sense of relaxation could be seen, an immense joy, a sheen in his eyes showed his gratitude towards me and my daughter of course. Ahaa!! how can I miss talking about her. That moment was no less than a reminiscence for me.
