The Immortal Love

Spring time, it’s the most blossoming time of the year. It feels amazing when that spring spreads into one's life.

I was driving over the hills near dark forest, along with grooving at play-list of my own choice and yes, winds blowing my hair away, cool breeze soothing my soul. That makes my head clear of all thoughts, free from doubts.

I was on the driver’s seat, speeding up as fast as I could. I have always admired racing cars. Now I had one, then how could I stop myself from rushing wildly.

Next to me was my fragile sister, Acacia.

We both have been together since the time we were born… together as... twins.

We have shared the same womb and now we were sharing the same car space, rare for me.

Both of us are completely poles apart from one another which make us unique, except for our looks which unfortunately went identical.

I drive out pleasure from the crazy stuff I do, whereas fun for Acacia can be discovered in the makeup kit or high heels.

If both of us could be merged together then probably a startling girl could rise, but being apart makes us two even more startling.

Though Acacia’s likes turn out to be despising for me, still destiny directs us both on one track. Sometimes I don’t understand why we were put as one. This is one of the most irritating doubts always scratching my head off.

But I’m grateful… I got the smart part to play and Acacia got… well I can’t describe that much… I never counted on her smart part, maybe because there wasn’t any.

“Amber!! We are going too fast... Slow down!!” Acacia shouted.

“Slow down..? Never!”

“Stop the car!! You exceeded the speed limit... Girls!! Stop right now!!” the police man shouted aloud at us on the microphone from his police car.

“Look what have you done!! We’ll get arrested!! I don’t wanna go to jail! No Make-up! No beauty! I’ll look awful!!” Acacia screamed in my ears.

“Don’t worry precious... You won’t be in jail... Jail... is not our destination...!” I assertively replied to her.

They speeded up but that wasn’t sufficient to catch me. I smiled at him with a bit girly look and he got enthralled. He lost control over his speed and the police car was left far behind.

“That was easy!!”

I looked towards Acacia and as usual she was busy admiring herself.

“Acacia... This is so damn amazing... don’t you think?”

“This is... at least better than playing your awful video games... And wasting my time...! Really I’m enjoying... Thanks Amber.”

Then she turned back towards her mirror, her second best friend.

“Don’t just thank me... Because if Dad were at home... huh... he wouldn’t have let us out.”

“So should I call Dad and thank him? Let me just call him then...”

“No!! Acacia are you insane?! If he gets to know then we’ll have our heads off!”

“Oh my... Then how will I wear my necklace...?!”

“Hmm... That’s a big tragedy... I’m so sorry girl... for the fact you have such a big thing in your head”

She started making faces at me.

“Now stop for a second, even the mirror is tired!” I shouted at her.

I held the steering wheel tightly and kicked off the breaks too hard for banishing the speed. Our car jerked and we were somewhere near the forest.

Along with that hurtle I heard a voice as of something getting banged.

“Acacia, did you hear that?! As if a Raccoon or something got hit”

Acacia with her hand supporting her head, said worriedly,

“Amber... That Raccoon is me... Ouch... it hurts but I hope there’s no mark or scar... look... look at me...”

I looked out of the car to see where we landed. All I could see were trees around; we were in the dark forest.

“Stop looking outside... Just see… am I hurt?!”

I warily noticed her head and there was no mark, just her makeup.

“Woo.. This is something even worse… and disgusting...!”

“What?! What is it?!”

“Your stinky makeup...!!”

She was getting irritated and it was all clear because of her expression.

“I’m sorry”, I said

For once she doubted and replied calmly,

“Do you really mean it? I can’t believe... Aww... it’s okay.”

But still, for a second she doubted how I could be so genuinely sorry but then as I always do,

“Wow... I’m such a good liar... and you are one innocent girl... this trick always works... especially at you...” I grinned at her.

“Now seriously tell me... Is my face okay??”

I couldn’t comment anything wrong for her face as we have the same one, we are twin sisters and that’s the only commonality between us. I turned quiet for a long while and ended up nodding my head with a yes.

At an instance I realized that it was time, time for me to get going. The reason for me to visit that forest was not to enjoy the usual way with Acacia but to ruin someone’s gratifications.

I was waiting for Nick’s message, as he was my scout. He wanted to help me blight up Drake’s date as Lisa, the girl he was about to date with, was Nick’s girlfriend already. Nick was Acacia's ex-boyfriend that restricted me of bringing him in her notice.

Although I myself hated betraying girls, like Lisa but she wasn’t the only reason.

My reason was Drake or should call him Dre, the way Acacia calls him. Since we were five, he’s been my sister’s best friend and my best.... frenemy.

Dre thought himself to be the most funny, good looking, smartest and wise, so did the other girls thought. But for me he was the one who used to steal my sister’s presence from me, in short, he was a moron.

More than that, he had always been wrecking my projects, parties, plans and above all... my mood. This time he had also ruined my friend Silvia’s date. It was time for me to take up the revenge and make him pay for what I lost.

I looked at my cell phone; it had a message from Nick –

‘The empire is ready, no one for defense. Get set soldiers, good time to attack. All the best... Ms. Fighter’.

Along with the message, Nick sent me a link of navigation. That could make my directions easy enough.

Then I messaged him to leave.

“Time for revenge” I muttered with low voice and a malicious smile appeared on my face.

“How long are we gonna sit here? By the way... what are we here for?” , Acacia asked while applying her gloss.

“Drake has planned a surprise date for Lisa... here in this forest.”

“Are you going to spoil his date? Don’t!! I won’t let you...”

“Don’t worry precious... I’m just here to see his preparations and maybe you could help him... improvise”

Acacia smiled at me sweetly. I felt bad that I was lying to her but I had no other option. We both unplugged our seat belts and got off the car.

It was my first step in that dark forest, but I just enjoy the mysterious silence around, the ice cold wind, the stiff trees standing tall.

Acacia stepped out and her high heels crushed the leaves making a crunchy sound.

Somewhere inside, I knew if I told anything about my wrecking plan to her, then she would wreck my plans any ways. So I kept calm and walked on along with her. The forest, its silence and Acacia, were oblivious about what was going to happen next.

My vision crawled up the trees and rose up to the petrifying dark sky. That spacious place was scary but yet alluring with those gleaming diamonds stuck up there.

Then I headed inside the woods, slowly and gradually we were getting out of the car lights reach so I switched on my cell phone’s torch, which was quite bright.

“Ouch..! I was just about to fall!! It hurts...”

“Acacia... We are almost there... and who asked you to wear such huge mountains below your feet?!” I complained.

“You didn’t tell me anything about our destination... and by the way this is the shortest heels I could wear!”

I laughed,

“Since how long heels went short?? Let’s just keep walking...”

She kept on scrambling over the dry leaves and rough ground, which I find quite funny.

Apart from distressing sound of insects, howling sound of wild animals and sound made by leaves as the wind blew them, I heard a different kind of noise, a noise preferred by humans especially at romantic dates.

I followed that music while keeping a watch at Acacia’s struggling action with her high heels. Nick's navigation link came into no use, but still I was at my destination. Probably, God was on my side and not Drake's.
