She clutched him in her arms,
Everything that reminded her of him
came unfolding like the morning hymn,
He gave her sleeping world a sunlit beam
Underneath the sheets, they roll,
Swore apart to never fall
in the hands of temptation,
Promised to never deprive attention
He held her like constellation
he wouldn't grow tired of watching
even if the rest of the world is,
On her forehead, burrowed his kiss
He promised her tomorrows
she believed in,
He was a magnetic force
she was drawn to
He tastes like cocaine
and she was an addict,
Red as-ever were her eyes
that swelled up crying inside the attic
Above the skies at night
she searches for stars
to make a wish for
hoping to find a love's detour
And now, he's miles apart
she'd crossed an ocean for,
How is she not giving up
if to him she was a complete bore
But she knew she shared a part of his soul,
Often she'd end up a fool
for creating stories in her mind
only she pretended they existed
And she could not want more of him,
Wanting him more was suicide and cancer
but she was addicted
she couldn't find a cure
He stained her mind like a memory
his scent scattered all over
She would always remember
the pain of being a nobody - a stranger
An ill-fated romance. A summer getaway that turns destructive. A suffering. The truth.
