The "Indians" Up North

Info

I live in a world where it's so easy to have an opinion
So easy to abide by it while sipping on my steaming cup of coffee
I live in a world where people, if are not ready to listen,
Atleast agree to pretend that they heard.
I live in a world where I am under so many layers of protection,
It sometimes becomes hard to breathe.
And yet, easier too.
I live in a world where I can laugh whenever I want, cry whenever I want, have the most erratic mood swings and be cared about; whenever I want.
I'm not bragging, no.
It's the world most of you who are reading this, live in.
It's the world most of us take for granted.
It's the world most of us fail to appreciate.
I wonder if the burning land, just a few miles away, would laugh
And say, "The infection of your smiles does not travel the distance that separates us, our worlds. I dream that my cries do."

Just another homo sapien

My first slam poem. I've used a "he" but it's really the voice of all of the LGBT.

The black silk scraf

It's just a small snippet. Something I wrote for a competition. Of the crime genre.

Mr. Mungo the Librarian

Okay. So it's my first poem ever and the theme is children's literature- then and now.
