Just Tell Me When

Will I ever reach the day, when I will meet you
I sit alone and ponder what it is I would do
I've met the wrong people again and again
The day that I meet you is the one I wonder when

They say a red string ties us, the day that we are born
Unseen, uncut, unbroken, and untorn
They say good things come to those who wait
To just let go, and give in to fate

I don't know who you are yet, or where you could be
But please know, I need you right now, here with me
Our paths are yet to cross, yet I still long for your embrace
To hold you close, and see your face

I'm starting to drown, but I'll keep going on
Until I should meet you, be it at dusk or dawn
The day that I do, is the one I can't wait for
To meet the person meant for me, after waiting years before
