Our constant internet connection makes it easy for viruses to infect our computers. We should never turn off antivirus for any reason. To protect our system against virus attacks, we need to know how do i disable Bitdefender antivirus.
Sometimes we find ourselves in a situation where we cannot install software with antivirus protection. To overcome this problem, we must temporarily disable Antivirus Security in order to install software on our PCs.
These instructions will show you how to disable Bitdefender's Total Security.
• When installing another program, disable antivirus software for a specific time. After installation is complete, enable antivirus again.
• Make sure you download the program from a trusted source.
• Installing a program via disk requires that you first scan it with antivirus. Start the disabling process if it is clean.
• If you have an email that you need to disable antivirus, you should not disable antivirus.
1. In the ANTIVIRUS interface, click on the Settings button.
2. Click on the Shield tab to turn off Bitdefender Shield's switch.
3. Click on the button next Scan mapped networks drives in the Drives and Devices tab and choose Disabled.
4. Return to the Protection Features screen.
5. In the ONLINE THREAT REPORTING module, click on the Settings button. Turn off the Web Protection tab to disable the following five features: Web attack prevention; Search Advisor; Encrypted Web scan, Fraud protection, and Phishing protection. Set the Network Threat Prevention tab to OFF.
6. Return to the Protection Features screen.
7. Set the switch to OFF in the FIREWALL module.
8. Set the switch to OFF in the ADVANCED THREATEN DEFENSE module.
9. Set the switch to OFF in the ANTISPAM Module.
10. Set the VULNERABILITY module switch to OFF.
11. Set the SAFE FILE module switch to OFF.
12. Set the switch to OFF in the RANSOMWARE REDUCTION module.
13. Go to Privacy.
14. Click Configure under PARENTAL CONTROL.
15. This will open the Bitdefender Central tab in your default web browser. If prompted, sign in.
16. Select the profile that is associated with your device and click the icon. Next, select Devices. Click SAVE after you have unchecked the box next to the name of your computer.
17. Set the WEBCAM PROTECTION module switch to OFF.
18. Set the switch to OFF in the PASSWORD MANAGE module.
19. Go back to Bitdefender's main interface and then to the Settings window.
20. Click on the PROFILES tab.
21. To turn off Activate profiles automatically, set the switch near to it.
22. Scroll down to the Real-time optimization and turn it off.
23. After you have disabled all the modules that are causing the problem, you can re-enable one module at a time to find the culprit.
