Life.

"So does it hurt?" He asked as he sat on the chair beside mine, at the chai wala's stall outside our college.

I gave him a confused look after realizing that he was talking to me. He asked again, "Does it hurt? Too much?"

For some reason I could not answer to it, just managed to look away with teary eyes, for some reason, he had found out about the storm inside me, the one I was trying to hold back, to pull myself stronger. It seemed as if he has come to bridge the gap between my emotional outburst and my silence. But for some reason, I said nothing.

He figured I wasn't going to utter a word to his very obvious questions. And then very soon he said words to calm me down, to pamper my heart.

"You see, I will not tell you that everything will be fine, because I know it won't be, nothing goes right all the time in life, that's how it is. You will break down into pieces, your hope is soon going to shatter and your faith will drown. That's how it goes, its a cycle. But there is just one thing nobody will ever be able to snatch away from you, that's the love of people who care for you, the ones who are affected when you are sad, when you are hurt, when you feel the pain. And it is just your moral duty to hold yourself firmly strong for such people if not for yourself. They want to see you happy, they want to see you being able to manage with every thing that comes across. And they need you to consider the fact, that they are always standing right beside you."

You know, there will be times, you will not just be able to deal with.. there will be problems that you might not figure out to get a solution for.. and there will be a while when nothing will be fine, all you need to know it that you have someone to depend upon, someone who will sit beside you on a bench and keep mum, someone who will just be there to listen. That someone, is your strength.

(Well, this is originally on my blog since months, I just thought this one could be a good read for the beginning for everyone.)
