“What if when we die, the light at the end of the tunnel is just us being pushed out of another vagina?” When a friend of mine sent me the above quote, I was but forced to think about life and death. We all breathe, a few lucky ones actually live. What is life after all? Is life a journey to reach safely at death? Is life a journey and death a destination? Or is death just the beginning of a new journey? I don’t know about life and death. They are way too complex for me to understand at the moment.
I believe that being optimistic is always better than being pessimistic. Let’s say life is a journey. It is surely a great journey to have. And if death was but the beginning of a new journey, so be it. For a new journey to start the previous one should end and so death.
And since we live, we need a goal, a destination. A motive is a necessity, a reason to live. A goal drives the soul on. Just imagine yourself walking on a road without knowing how much you have to walk and what place u will be reaching and what you are to do once you reach there. Wouldn’t that be boring? But if you knew where the path led and how much you have to walk and what you are to do once you are there, wouldn’t it be a different story?
Sometimes we wander different paths with no particular goal in mind, with no particular reason to live. Sometimes we may feel that our life is meaningless. But all those who wander are not lost. And if at all we are lost, there is always a way to find our way back home.
Why not go for a happy ending to the journey? It is after all us that choose our happiness. It is our point of view that makes our life good or bad. We never know how we will die, but it is us who decide how we live.
