We spend hours looking for the perfect friend, the perfect life partner, the perfect and sure way to gain enlightenment, the perfect way to live one's life.
We have this feeling, that it has to be something really complex to understand, else everybody would have done it.
But is it ?
Is it something so unimaginable?
The answer is no, it is not.
You read through any method to enlightenment, in the real scriptures that are centuries old. You realize, it is pretty easy.
You do not have to wear a cotton robe and sit inside a cave on Mt. Everest for 20 years continuously meditating to be enlightened.
You just have let go of the person inside you chasing perfection, and the idea of perfection.
You are already kind, you are already a badass , just chill in life for real.
You want to be a businessman, drive a sports car and still donate money, and live for 1 month a year in an ashram meditating.
Sure! Go ahead! Good for you!
You want to go talk to a girl you saw in the bar, go ahead.
You did not like something your loved on did? Tell them.
Whatever you want to do, just go for it, do not overthink, life is simple.
We spend all our lives worrying what is the right way to it, or if the person will feel disrespected, or what the society thinks of you.
But what is the point of a rat race if you want to kill yourself at the end of it.
Do whatever you want, say no to whatever does not feel right, and be empathetic and straight-forward in the way you talk.
Life is simple, do not try to complicate it, and it will not complicate itself for you.
