I’ve done what I can to help them grow
Help them mature with what I know
Prepare them for a life that they will lead
Show them all the things that they would need
I’ve done my part and now I observe
I’ll watch them gain the things they deserve
I’ll watch them struggle and I’ll watch them thrive
I’ll be there to watch them make it out alive
I’ll be there to give aid should they ever require
A person to look to with a dying fire
If ever they don’t know what they should do
I’ll show them a path of what is true
A path that is the best choice for all
This path for them can be long or small
This path is their way to do what is right
To find their way back into the light
