They say hope is the only thing that's stronger than fear, If you have hope you won't have doubt, If you have doubt you'll barely have hope, They say hope can change everything, Even in the darkest times, They say that if you have goals and aims, you'll had to have hope to achieve them, because if you didn't you had to be 100% sure that your dreams would come crushing down in front of your eyes, HOPE; A word with four letters, But strong and powerful meaning! Isn't it?
But is that really true as if 'They say', is it all actually real? Do you actually have to have hope to get through your hard times, To make your dreams come true, To reach your goals, To change anything you want to change, To get a high grade on an exam you're nervous about, To finally have the courage to stand right in front of your bully who bullies you on everyday basis, or for that disease to go away, To have your dream job, To be happy.
Well, All those things 'Niall Waters' strongly believed in, He always believed that hope can change anything, Until that one day, When the doctor came into the room, telling him the sad news, When all his dreams came crushing down at that moment just with one blink, When he lost his hope, When he lost everything…
It all started from here, May 17th 2014 **
"Hey man, wanna go and have pizza after school?" Calum, Niall's best friend asked, While sitting beside him on the desk, Niall started to laugh, Calum always had a big passion for pizza that just couldn't be explained.
"Calum, we just had lunch!" Niall said looking at Calum, And giggling at him.
"Yeah, I know it's just.. No one can resist pizza and besides, school's food sucks, And you know that" Calum said matter-of-factly rolling his eyes at Niall.
"C'ome on Niall, we're going out with a punch of friends, we're really gonna have fun" Calum said nudging Niall's arm slightly, Niall laughed at him again, Niall and Calum had always been best friends since they were in dippers, They love each other a lot, They always protect each other no matter what, They laugh together, They cry together, Actually they have best friends too, like Ashton and Liam, Those four lads are the perfect example for best friends, They always stood for each other and helped each other, but out of these four, Niall and Calum where the closest.
"Hello, Earth to Niall, Are you there?" Calum said, waving his hand in front of Niall's face, Niall then was snapped out of his thoughts, And swatted Calum's hand away, he must have been deep in thoughts.
"Okay, Okay, I'll go" He said, And rolled his eyes at him, Calum smiled, And then the teacher came into the classroom.
"Okay students, To your seats please" Mr.Maynard said, and then all the students went to their seats immediately, Niall sat there, in his seat, barely paying attention to what the teacher was saying, Niall is always one of those guys that zoom out in class, He always daydreams and thinks about anything and everything, About what could the future might hide for him, Or if he'll ever reach his dreams, What age he'll die at, Where he's gonna go and do with his life, And he always wonders if he will ever get to his dream job.
Niall has always dreamt of being a doctor, It was his dream job since he was a little kid, He likes to help people, It's literally his passion to do so, Niall is now on his senior year; His last year in school, and then he'll go to the university to go and work on his dreams, To a 17 years old boy, he has a lot of dreams, countless countless ones, He always wonders if he will ever be able to achieve them all, But he has never doubted himself, he always believes, he always hopes.
To know Niall more, he's tall with blonde hair, blue eyes, pointy nose, And he's very shy and gentle, he always treats people just like the way he wants to be treated, properly and with respect, That's what made people like him the most, He deserves to be respected. Niall has two brothers: Jack and Luke, But Niall's the youngest one, they're pretty close with each other, Also his mother Maura and his dad James.
"Mr.Waters, are you even paying attention?" Mr.Mynard said to Niall, standing in front of him, dragging Niall out of his thoughts.
"Oh..Uh… sorry" Niall said looking down embarrassed, and then lifting his head again, Paying attention to the teacher this time.
The rest of the day continued like that, Boring classes, Until the bell rang to the last one and the class was dismissed, Niall grabbed his backpack and ran down the hall, And then went out with his friends to eat pizza, as they had planned.
They went straight to their favorite restaurant that was in downtown, And Niall made sure to call his mother, telling her he was going out with his friends, so maybe he would come home a little late, They all sat around the table, They began to talk and laugh and just having a fun time while eating pizza, They were all laughing at something Ashton said, When it hit him, It hit Niall, The smile quickly faded from his face, Sitting the pizza down on the table, He felt a very heavy headache, And a sharp pain hitting his stomach, His features quickly changed, He tried to hold back a squeal, And then he put his hand on his stomach, grabbing at it slightly, Arching his back forward a little, They all stopped and looked at Niall, Noticing his weird movements.
"Are you okay mate?" Calum asked Niall, Who was sitting next to him, The concern and confusion was clear on his face.
"Yeah, Yeah, I'm fine" Niall said, sitting back properly on his seat.
"Really? Because it doesn't seem like it" Liam said, lifting an eyebrow at him.
"I said I'm fine Liam, Don't worry" Niall said, grabbing his pizza, And eating again, Pushing the feeling of his stomachache and headache aside, And just focusing on his friends and the fun time they were having.
Just a short time went by, And they were still talking and laughing, Niall's pain somehow disappeared, Although Niall didn't really pay attention to that, He thought that maybe it was just a small pain that would go by short time, Well, He was totally wrong, Because by that time, The pain had come back, But this time it was harder!!
