Love is a Text Away

"Does he feel the same? Does he know at all?" her friends question resounded in her ears as she tossed in her bed. It was past midnight and clearly sleep was not on it way...

The rhythmic sound of the ceiling fan was the only sound in the silent night but to her she could hear her friends laughing at her. "He is not into you at all! You are just daydreaming over nothing..." they giggled away. She turned again.

His smile as he directly looks into her eyes is all she could see when she tried closing her eyes. Her eyes sprang open again. "I have to tell him how I feel about him! I have to..." she whispered to herself.

She picked her phone to take her mind off the topic, but as the screen unlocked her heart skipped a beat. There was a 5 unread messages from him...

"Hi"

"Just texted to check... Are you alright?"

"I mean I heard your friends tease you about me at the party...and saw you turning red...I could walk in and tell them to stop but you ran away before that!"

"I was worried about you...Just to let you know I do not mind it at all...I rather like you..."

"Hey...Please do reply..."

She could feel her face turning warmer but she could not stop smiling. She replied, "Hey, I am alright..." followed by a "Don't worry"

An immediate buzz on her phone, the message read, " Thank god! "

A moment of silence, and another message, "I really meant it when I said I like you...but never had the courage to tell you..."

She could hardly blink...her fingers started typing and replies started to flow in...Now only did the night pass away, months also flew by. 

"Does he feel the same? Does he know at all?" her friends question resounded in her ears as she tossed in their bed to face  him. It is rather amusing how certain loud friends help you meet your man, she smiled as he wrapped his arms around her...
