I will remember this clearly
The sun is just setting
Saying goodbye for the day
It is very beautiful
The sky is orange tainted with strokes of pink
The wind blew
I shivered from the cold
You pulled me closer
Your arms wrapping around me like a warm blanket
There's a faint scent of your hot tea in the air
We are on the bench on our porch
Overwhelmed by memories
Marveling at the beauty that the day is displaying before it ends
Doing a lot of things at the same time
Trying to bury what is to come
I closed my eyes and breathe in your scent
Always the same, of mint and of kindness
Sixty years and here we are still wrapped in each others arms
Your eyes still full of love and passion for me
I wonder how long will I have to wait
But I am sure you'll come soon after
I took a deep breath
Peace and comfort I inhaled
Just before I go with the wind
I hear your soft mumbles of I love you lulling me off to sleep
