1:00 AM. Pouring rain. Chocolate ice cream. Two people wide awake. Endless talks.
She looked at the rain fall from above..fascinated by how the light from the street light made the drops look. It was such a rush. She never liked the rain, always thought it was over-rated. All those romantic chick flicks and books always portrayed rain as a harbinger of love..like it was cupid's arrows striking people all over the world and not just water droplets. But at that moment, when this beautiful mess next to her silently squealed with utter joy, trying not to wake up the others in the room, somehow she felt the magic in the air. It was love, she thought to herself. Because she could never get enough of those killer eyes..Even now, when they lit up at the sight of water gushing out in the street, she couldn't help but smile.
Never did she know, that it was possible to love someone this much. Let alone the fact that this person was nothing but an acquaintance one twenty days ago.
Resisting the urge to keep staring, she looked away to see the sight outside. Lighting struck the sky, lighting it up like a million fireworks. If people were rain, she was drizzle and this person next to her was a hurricane. The air grew colder and the distance between them closer. Oh, if only she could freeze this, rewind and re-live this moment. She was enchanted- she knew it. It was painful to admit that the only positive thing in her life right now was this person. Her happiness. Her muse. Her kryptonite. And this time, she wasn't going to let go of this feeling. No matter what.
