Missed a beat

Mind-boggling development in the airports all over India..... Ummm... Shhhh.... Guess what??? It's a silent airport. No announcments you see. You can muse yourself by the soft music in the air and enhance your taste buds by the aroma of the melting pots in the cafes. The various handloom stalls took me for a ride. The yummylicious sandwiches, paranthas, chhole, pizzas and numerous delicacies lined up trying to catch up with the orders.

The tick-tock of my watch seemed to have become standstill . It was at the eleventh hour when I realized that I missed my flight.....Suddenly there was darkness all around. Hues and cries everywhere. Oh gosh, the whole world seemed to have shuttered down telling me that nothing could be done....All that they could say was that the gate of the flight has been closed. I felt like screaming, shouting and banging my head but alas that was my foolishness. Everything turned out to be a part of the doomsday...... Nobody could solace my heartache that moment. My shadow could only laugh at me and my overconfidence but still couldn't do the same may be out of sheer respect or sympathy. Howsoever, I had to pull myself together and face all the aftermath. I think my earnest 'Sorry prayers' did the miracle. Yeahhh only one flight back home was available for that day.

Surprisingly, the next available flight cost a hefty amount. But you see as they say, when all windows are closed, there is always a window left opened. Any guesses????? The last two seats were left to be sold. Without even giving a second thought and overlooking the amount, I grabbed that last resort, the 'pricy tickets' to go back home. The words of Sri.Gopal Gaur kept ringing in my ears. He had to say that man is the maker of his destiny. The attitude is not a destiny, it's a choice. So everything has a reason behind it and that is not under our control. It is designed in a predefined way. The least we can do is go for it in high spirit and learn from our mistakes. The turmoil in my mind came to a halt when I along with my shadow, settled in our seats. The one and half hour flight was just like a long drive on a wide lonely highway. The swift landing cheered me up and reassured that the dark clouds have gone bringing in a joyous rainbow in the sky of my life!!!!
