He was a man of the land of action, of war and love, of experiences learnt through history. He was a man who had fought for the people, who had given up his last morsel for his motherland, who believed that one fine day he would bring peace to the land where he belonged.
His beliefs stood high even in the paths that lay covered with blankets of dangers and obstacles, paths that passersby felt were too long to be traveled by a mortal man. And yet, he crossed those borders to bring back lost peace into his land. He crossed borders to bring back the love that was lost. And, he crossed borders to turn the unfortunate consequences of the past into a stable present and a better future.

Peace where the leaves stood unmoved by the winds, and where the mornings came with a steady pace; a pace like that of the subtle waters of the lake, with waves that come with a boundary, a limit.
Days passed as he tried to fit into his newly found calm surroundings. Months passed as he tried to get used to the calm mornings to wake up to. Years went by trying to fit into the routine of his peaceful land.
What he yearned for all his life was now something that he had to 'try' to live with.
What he thought was his dream was now his reality,
A reality which he was not satisfied with,
A reality which he now thought to be an illusion.
Because while he was surrounded in peace, his internal mechanism were finding it hard to cope.
Earlier, he had a dream to fulfill, a task to accomplish.
Now, he was just flowing with the expected turns that came by.
He missed trying to bring a change, he missed going out there to achieve.
Life is a journey. One of illusions and deceptions, dreams and accomplishments.
Sometimes, what you think you want, is not really what you really do.
