I was in my 10th standard..! As usual boring history class... Everybody was asleep but i went deep into the mughal period. It was about to rain. The clouds was about to pour heavily. Dark clouds made my classroom even darker. Coolest breeze was playing with my hair. I was about to sleep. At that time everybody was awaken by a sweet voice asking "Excuse me mam". It was a new admission. That moment was magical. I don't know why.. As i was seated in the A row he looked at me when he entered into the class. Our teacher made him to sit near me (heavenly moment). He looked at me and smiled and i smiled back. Our teacher asked me to take care of his notes. My heart said that i have got a chance to talk to him. I relaxed myself in a mean while he spoke to me. He introduced himself to me. His name was Karthik. My heart bloomed and he inquired about me. I introduced myself as Ankita. We both became good friends. Days scrolled and our friendship became even thicker. It was a rainy day again. I remembered our first meet. My heart bloomed for him again. He was kind at heart, very playful, matured, decent and i have no idea about his bad qualities though we have been friends for about 6 months. He knows his limits and that was the main quality where i was keep on falling. I wanted to express my feelings to him but i was afraid of getting rejected. I don't want to hear such kind of words from him. I know it would kill me. Then came our board exams. We had no time to talk and got engaged in studying. Arrived our holidays and we were so happy about our full stop for social science. Again I started thinking about him. I wanted to convey it somehow and my heart started torturing me. (Door bell rang) ... SHOCK... It was Karthik. Awwwww GOD..!! He winked at me and said that he has shifted his house and it was opposite to mine. I was blank for a moment!! Then came my dad and he welcomed him and his mom. I sat near to his mom and they invited our family for their house warming. After their departure i ran inside my room and hugged my teddy very tight that it could get crushed. I was waiting for that day. Finally it arrived and my heart was throbbing. I woke up very early as i wanted to meet him and spend a long time with him.! I rushed up to his house..! He was dressed up traditionally and looked like a groom..! I imagined myself to be his bride.! It was a fantabulous day with him rather than our school days. Then started our 11th standard. The days passed very fast that our 12th standard practical exams arrived and simultaneously our board. As everything was over soon I was about to join entrance coaching class for doing my MBBS..! He also joined along with me.. It was an other rainy day in our life..!! We both were waiting for the bus . I thought it was the right place to propose him as it was the same climate when I saw him first. I went near him and called him.. As he turned to me I caught his hand and confessed my love for him. He was shocked and said he didn't have any love for me.. I was broken and my eyes were filled with tears..! I wanted to hide it from him..! Then i started my own way to home..! I cried a lot but didn't give up. I passed my entrance exam and joined my dream course MBBS Housing Surgeon. 5 years of my college life flew away very rapidly. I was placed in a private hospital. My life was going in a full swing with all my wishes getting fulfilled except Karthik..! I couldn't forget him. I was in full of his thoughts. It was a drizzling morning when an emergency case rushed into our hospital with heavy blood loss. I was about to do the surgery as my senior was out of station. I prayed the lord almighty and finished the surgery successfully. I was tired and fell asleep. I felt a chill breeze and heard someone asking "Excuse me"..! My heart said it was "Karthik" but my mind denied.. I was in a confusion but I said "Yes come in".. To my surprise it was him..! My heart won my mind for the first time..!! It was beating so fast. I was seeing him with my eyes wide open and he said "Anki".. I smiled at him..! Karthik what are you doing here? i asked.. He said that his friend was admitted there.. I inquired him about his friend..! He said that i'd done the surgery for him and he was about to thank me for that. I welcomed him with a calm smile.. Next day his friend was getting discharged and I went to send them off. "Anki I want to talk to you" he said. Then we went to a coffee shop nearby. He started our conversation and asked about my family. I replied in a formal way. Then with so much of confusions he asked about my love for him. He asked me whether i was in love with him till now. I replied whole heartedly that I will love him for the rest of my life. He was struck for a minute. After few minutes he saw me. But that look was so different as i have never seen his eyes glowing like that. He looked deep into my eyes that i was mesmerized and started gazing at him. Then suddenly he stood up and i didn't have an idea about what he was doing. I looked at him strangely. He asked me to wait and went out!! I was hopeless and waiting for him. He came there after half an hour and sat opposite to me. He looked at me again with that glowing eyes. He came near me and knelt down..! The whole crowd watched us and I felt awkward. I couldn't guess what he was going to do. He pulled out a ring from his pocket and said " I love you anki" aloud..! I was shocked!!!! I did not know how to react.. I looked at him with loads of confusion. He smiled at me and said, "Yes darling, I love you from the very next moment I saw you but i was waiting all these days for you to achieve all your dreams in a successful way" ..! Tears rolled down my cheek when he completed..! My lips smiled and my eyes cried and I realized it was the wonderful moment in my life!! He asked me whether we could get married that moment..! I smiled at him and said, "Yes" with a romantic look..! He winked at me said "Wait my baby, lets talk to our parents" and i replied i've already spoke to my parents and now its your turn and I winked back.! My first love ended up successfully in marriage and now we've two children. I really don't know about love when I felt it!! It was just magical. Everyone would come across this in their life.! It is really wonderful when it gets succeeded..!
