Today it is estimated that the number of women who have naturally large calves is larger than what the fashion industry first realized. Many women are not aware how difficult it was to find mid-size and knee high calf boots until recently. Studies have finally revealed voices of women just like you in the growing popularity of new mid-size and knee high calf boots that are tailored for extra narrow  calf boots and the new super narrow calf boots.

Our dedicated staff is here to help you shop a great selection of women's extra wide calf boots so that you find the right style and perfect fit for your sexy legs. Here you will also find boot trees for women. We'll also share with you what fashion trends are hot along with our favorites.

Cruiser – High Heel Extra Narrow Calf Boots by David Tate

A good pair of winter high heel boots is the Cruiser made by David Tate. Available in black or brown leather, these stunning boots have a decorative antiqued silver buckle around the trim of the ankle and also have a fill side zipper for easy on and off fitting.

The Cruiser is also available in extra narrow and narrow calf sizes and are made out of tailored leather with a 2 1/4 inch stacked heel with a 14 inch shaft height.

The extra narrow and super narrow calf circumference is available with a range of 17 inches to 19 inches plus. However, just because it is manufactured only in narriow widths doesn’t mean you can’t get them if you do not have narrow  width feet.

A tip that we recently learned was to order your boot using your calf size and then place insoles (i.e. Dr. Scholl's) into the boots for a snug fit.

Narrow Calf Boots - Bonita by RSVP

One of our staff's top picks for a cute stylish boot is the Bonita by RSVP. The chocolate brown leather makes these narrow calf boots come to life. They have a nice slouch and a pointed toe making them sweet and sophisticated.

The 1 inch heel (actual size 3/4 inch) also is a nice compliment to the 17 inch shaft. However, the fold over collar does mislead the actual circumference of the shaft, more on that in a second. Overall this brand offers good quality boots and is available in sizes 5.5 - 10 in the standard medium width. However, we did get a few tips from staff members saying there's a way to fix that problem.

It's not uncommon to see a zipper closure sewn down the side of calf boots to help fit different calf sizes. The Bonita boot is one of these but for women who already know their calf size, we tested it out and can tell you that the Bonita RSVP is not a true 17 inch calf size.

When you try it on for the first time, you'll notice that it has a very snug fit on plus size legs so it may not be the right one for you. But just because this boot is too narrow for you doesn't mean that you are out of options. If you are as particular to this boot as we were, one option is to take it to a shoemaker to have them stretch out the shaft or check out the selection of boot shapers we've found that work best.

How To Determine Your Calf Size

At this point it is probably a good idea for you to measure your calf size. It's simple and quick. The average sizes of narrow calf boots range from 16 inches to 19 inches plus.

To measure your calf, use a measuring tape and wrap it around your calf approximately 3 inches below your knee. This is the circumference size that you need. If you don't have a measuring tape don't worry we have an easy solution.

How To Measure Your Calf Size With A Piece of String

Simply take a piece of string and wrap it around my calf similar to the measuring tape. Then pinch the piece of string where it crossed the other piece. Next, lay the string out on your counter and mark the start and ending point of the measurement with a pencil. Now you can use a ruler to measure the length to get an approximate measurement of your calf.

If your calf did not measure between 14 or 15 inches then the Bonita is probably not for you. While it is still a very comfortable and attractive boot, there are other options for you without making any alterations. Another hot tip is to order your calf boot in a half size larger than smaller. This is so that you can wear them in the winter months with thicker socks.

Maryland - Narrow  Calf Boots by Ros Hommerson "Sexy Brown Leather"

It would be misleading to only say the Maryland was a beautiful calf boot. This is the boot that women are asking for. These sexy narrowcalf boots are available in brown, black or even as suede leather. They are custom tailored with an elegant narrow shaft and a stunning 3 inch high heel.

The black super narrow calf boots by Ros Hommerson are perfect for the casually chic sophisticated women. They’re sharp toe edge and sultry shaft curves make for an intriguing pair of boots that are sure to make a statement wherever you go.

For added comfort, there is already a padded insole for long wearing comfort plus they are lined with a soft tricot lining and have a full inside zipper for easy on/off fitting.

Riding Boots - Viviane Extra Narrow Calf Boots by Blondo in Black

If you are a woman that likes to ride then these boots should satisfy your taste. The Vivian extra narrow calf boots by Blondo are made especially for women who like to be outdoors. Designed with the special AquaProtect Process that make them waterproof, the Viviane’s breath like normal leather while keeping your feet dry at the same time.

They look terrific with a pair of jeans or a casual dress. The circumference of the Viviane's ranges from 17 1/4 inch to 18 1/2 inches and have a 14 inch high shaft.

Along with the silky lining, cushioned insole, full-zip, and thick rubber flexible sole with a 1 inch heal, the Viviane’s have a rear elastic double gores. This gives you added comfort for on/off fitting that lets your calf flex with your movement.
