One stranger

Traces of loss in the smile that I saw,

Trail of a storm that knocked him down

Rumbling behind the happiness I saw,

he's chaos, hard to comprehend by words,

He is a mystery that I was desperate to solve.

In Jokes he told I saw a forlorn, he mocked his friends but never hurt them with words.

he never mumbled, he's a genius, a chandler bing.

I envy him for the views he behold,

For he saw the dreams that I perceived,

In a way I see a part of me in him.

We talked for that night about universe,

About stars and our ancestors, of the infinite possibilities of aliens and minute chance we are alone.

I felt I could talk about anything to him,

For that moment he felt like home,

strangers who turned out to be alike,

But then the time came to say good bye,

To return back to being us again,

He became a stranger to me, once again.
