Palpitation

It walked into me,
Just like another day,
My mind was occupied
In thoughtful play.

I dreamt a face,
In fading twilight,
The face was eclipsed,
By dark of night.

I missed that breath,
I missed that hand,
Like a shivering heart,
On frozen sand.

The heart still bleeds,
Cradled in those arms,
That swept to eternity,
Diving in those charms.

This weird imagining,
This strange fantasy,
Had gulped me now and then,
In miraculous ecstasy.

It helps me live,
In material sensuality.
It helps me survive,
In this world of reality.
