Paradox

Screaming inside..

Where can she hide?

' You don't get it, this isn't me! '

Imprisoned in her own body, she felt

' God! I just want to be free! '

Her icy heart could not melt..

Or oh dear! Is it gone?

' That's not true I'd be dead! '

Life off. Death on.

' Look! I've still got my head! '

But dear, where is your soul?

' I don't know, I can't see! '

But can't you even feel?

' I only feel pain, this isn't me! '

She really thinks that is real..

' Hear me out. I'm really here! '

' Don't you see! Don't you hear?! '

"They only see one, that is you!"

' Who said that?! Go away! '

"I'm the only thing that is true!"

' Leave! I don't you want you to stay.. ! '

Oh dear, she's suffering in her head..

Feeling as if she's dead..

' I can't move, I can't speak! '

"See! You're so weak.. "

' What are you?! Why have you taken over me! '

"I'm you.. You fool!"

"That's why you'll never be free! "

' You're not me! You're cruel! '

' If I won't, then I'll just flee! '

" You can't run away from yourself, are you mad? "

' Then I'll kill myself, I don't want to be bad! '

In her head was complete bedlam..

Turning into an asylum from a bedroom!

Seeing and thinking weirdly!

Moving, breathing hardly!

Insanity was knocking on her door..

Wanting to escape, just sitting on the floor..

'God, give me hope'

'God, give me mercy'

'I want to live, not to cope!'

'I want justice and clemency!'

Finally.. Waking up to the horror of her actions

Feeling free and alive

In her memory, were fractions

Well.. Maybe she'll thrive!

' Do I laugh, or do I cry? '

She did both.. Her heart was no longer dry.

Nor were her eyes, nor her smile

She just wanted to enjoy it for a while..

But she still thought to herself at last..

' Am I schizophrenic or insane? '

It all went so slow, yet so fast

' Well, I think I still have my brain.. '

She could feel it all once more!

Didn't care if she was even called a whore

She just wanted to feel

She could finally know that it's real

She's free

' I'm me! '
