People are scary.
It's scary how they could make you feel something, how they could make you feel so worthy of love, so special, before they throw you away.
They would treat you softly, as if you deserve all the kindness in this world before pushing you away without letting you know first, without a pause, without second thoughts, as if you don't deserve an explanation, as if you weren't part of their priorities before, as if you're unworthy of anything.
It's as if making you feel special was a mistake. That everything was wrong from the beginning. That it shouldn't have came to this. That the moments you had shared together were all a waste of time.
People are scary. They would take things shamelessly. They would hurt you as if you have a heart of steel. As if they didn't care about you before. They would suddenly leave as if you weren't worth staying for. As if you didn't try to understand them. But you did. You tried validating their actions just so you wouldn't find fault in them. You tried being careful. You were good. You treated them nicely. You were afraid of hurting them. You were scared of losing them. You tried.
People are scary like that. Be good and they would still do you bad. They are selfish like that. But you don't wanna be like them, do you?
There are already lots of scary people. Don't add one to the number. Don't be like the people who hurt you. In this world full of shameless, disrespectful, and selfish people, be kind. A lot of people still need a person like you.
