The Piano Man. (Solangelo)

The piano music from the back room of the palace was amazing, and I've never heard a song like that before. I decided to slip away from the crowd of elegantly dressed people and peer into the bright golden room. On the bench of the piano, his hand flowing over the keys just as water flows in a river. The song was melancholy but uplifting at the same time, as if it was storming, but sunshine was still there. He was tan, had a lean body, and his blonde hair and blue eyes were amazingly bright. He was so absorbed into his piano playing that he didn't notice me. He wore a white suit with golden buttons. He had a red sash across his chest and a golden crown bejeweled with diamonds and gems as blue as his eyes. He was handsome, I admit. He looked like a true prince, for he was.

I stepped out of the room when he caught a glimpse of me. He stopped playing the piano and stood up, walking in my direction. I stepped into the crowd and he easily spotted me. He smiled and grabbed my arm, taking me into the room. "You're Nico di Angelo?" He asked with a bright smile. His teeth were perfect and pearly white. I nodded and he sat me at the piano. "I've always loved hearing your piano music," he said in awe. I looked over the keys. "I've never played a Royal Grand before," I said, running a finger down the gold and ivory keys. He grinned, "Well, it isn't any different than an old ragtime piano, Mr. di Angelo." I nodded and played a little tune. He was right, it wasn't any different, but it sounded better. I played a few classics such as The Entertainer and Nocturne 9 in E. Flat Major. He was impressed and sat next to me.

"Your hair is very dark," he said looking over me. "Your eyes match it, and your clothing makes you look smug, which suits you very well," he complimented. I let a small smile crawl onto my lips. "Why thank you, Prince William," I said, resting my hands on the cool keys. He looked me in the eyes with his sky blue eyes and smiled again. "May I take some lessons with you?" He asked, clearly eager to have an answer. I thought for a second and nodded. "I'd be honored to teach the prince," I said kindly. His smile and the light in the room grew brighter. I knew at that time that I would never regret this choice.
