Pick up the pieces of my heart
That once stood Like a Barricade
Against a whirlwind of Emotions.
That once was a storehouse of Love and Hatred.
Pick up the pieces of my heart
That science longs to know more about
Failing to realize everytime
That its mysterious ways can never be known.
Pick up the pieces of my heart
That which you shattered
When all it wanted was little acknowledgement
That which you never understood.
Pick up the pieces of my heart
That which I know can be mended
What I fear though is
That it may try to love again.
