Promise is a promise
A statement of sugar-coated words endearing to ears;
But one may suffer from a disease,
Either bitterness or diabetes.
Promise is a promise
For those who believe in the power of persistence,
Where time is not an enemy
Of which words would come into reality.
Promise is a promise
Where everyone else is fond to tell.
A game but no sacrifice that may take,
Waiting for a victim to be played.
Promise is a promise
Like a bank where one’s trust is bound to invest.
Is it a gamble deserved to take risk?
Or an honor ought to be fulfilled?
Promise is a promise.
A tale kept through a pledge.
In one’s words may cause no sacrilege,
A possibility near the edge.
