The Real Marriage.

Info

Solitude is experienced when you feel lost among hundreds of people. Such was the day for Avanti, who had attended the wedding against her wishes. She was constantly in search of an acquaintence until her eyes rested upon one. Had it been someone else instead of her, she would be more than happy. But Avanti was Avanti. She waited until there was a mutual eye contact and when her glittering eyes met the whimsical one, she set her face hard letting him know how disgusted she was.
Under the facade of arrogance, in her heart of hearts, she bloomed. All these days she had attended each function, with the hope to find him.

It had been a month and they were not on talking terms with each other. No fights, no misunderstandings, no heartbreaks and no reason. Just the callous attitude, lack of proper communication and most importantly - EGO. Their Ego was indignant enough to defy Fate's attempts of bringing them together.

Today, when she had least expected for him to show up, she hardly had any idea as to what she should do. She had either of the two options 1. To face him or 2. To ignore him. Before she could conclude to her mental dilemma, she realised that all this time, she had been looking straight into his eyes. She quickly closed her eyes and turned around making an effort to act nonchalant but failing miserably. This. Was. Avanti. The one who was always messed up, who acted the other way round, who never could understand the need for saying the right things at the right moments.

She headed out of the wedding hall to an open garden. She recalled all the memories that she had of him. As she sipped on her drink, a cool breeze chilled her. "Avanti?" a voice called out. Forcing back the nostalgia, she turned around. There he was. All this time, she had failed to notice that he looked rather handsome. But that was not the time for admiring him.
"Avanti." Karthik said again. This time, his voice was rude. "Will you please say something? And for God's sake stop ignoring me. I know this is one of your usual dramas. Get over it right now and talk to me." Avanti was still quiet, judging his patience. Karthik stepped forward, caught hold of her arms and shook her. "Karthik" she yelled, "You are hurting me."
"Oh really? Then what is it that you are doing to me ? Tell me! Answer me. " He had never been so loud.
"How does it even matter, Karthik? You have your own friends whom you can look up to. You don't even have to feel my absence. Your life is completely perfect whether it includes me or not. But you know what? My life isn't. My life is never the same once you leave. Your words and actions... they scare me." Days of emotions that had been building up, collapsed today. Its weak foundation could no longer bear the pressure.

"You think that my life is perfect without you? No! Its not and it never will. My life only makes sense because of you. And how can you even dare to say that? Avanti, I love you. I seriously do. You are the strings to my guitar. The colour of my art. And the soul.. To my life. Believe me, Avanti, I have known what it feels like to live without you and I dont ever want to experience it again. Please, dont leave me ever again."
The tears of sorrow now turned into the tears of joy. That wedding surely had brought two souls together.
