He woke up from a nightmare. He was running away from a major sand storm and no matter how fast he ran, the storm came closer and closer without ever catching him. He splashed water on his face and found his binoculars to locate a nightjar he had heard a minute back. Bird watching and wildlife photography were the only things he did passionately. In fact, he was the president of the photography club of his college. As a nightjar took flight from the tree, his sight went to the picture of a horse in the room 2051 in the opposite wing of the hostel. It was the same picture he had in his room, the one that won him the state level completion last year. But before he could get the chance to think about that, he saw a woman in red sneak up behind a guy and cut off his throat and run out of the room. He was petrified. He immediately called the security. After 2 hours of argument, the facts that laid bare were that there was no woman, no dead body and neither was there a horse poster in that room. In fact, the room 2051 had been vacant and locked for 6 months. He could not sleep. He assumed that it must have been a part of his storm nightmare. After spending a day with his friends, he had forgotten about the incident. As he came back to his room 4102 and sat on his laptop in the evening to go through some reports, he heard the sound of a nightjar. But he did not have time for bird watching right now. As he continued to type away his final thoughts, he did not notice a woman in red enter his room. Just that moment, a nightjar took a flight up causing a pair binoculars to be diverted into the direction of his room. After two hours of arguments, it was agreed that there had been no girl in red and no horse poster and the room 4102 had been vacant and locked for 6 months.
