Based on my personal experiences, I would like to say that trust shouldn't be taken for granted. I'll tell you what happened when I trusted this one girl that was supposed to be called 'my best friend'.I've known her for almost 8 years yet She stabbed me in the back.I treated her more than a sister, I literally shared with her everything.She knew me more than I knew myself.We had our ups and downs yet we had each others back. We even decided to choose the same major, we were that close. I was so true to her that I went to apply in that University where we agreed on.
However, I had a weird feeling that exact day but I went through it anyway because I trusted her that much.She didn't show up that day, I tried calling her over and over again but no answer. The shocking moment was when my friends told me that she went to study in another city with a different major!! I was speechless ! It turns out that she had everything planned without me knowing. I still don't know why She did that.
After all what she did, I forgave her anyway. I didn't hold any grudges against her instead I moved on with my life and made new friends.Additionally, this experience has taught me that trust is not something that should be given to someone that easily. If you want my trust, then you got to earn it.
