" See you in the evening Darling! Bye!" he kissed her on her forehead and left the house. Evening came early that day...
It was just a week into their married life. She opened the door once again... once again the cold air came in and gave her goosebumps. She stood by the door knowing well her heart beat could-not lie. The wait was over when she saw the shadow around the corner...
Smile touched her lip, her heart skipped a beat as he came nearer. The face was still not visible, she started pacing through the garden to welcome him with open arms. But she stopped.
It was the driver in a blood stained shirt! Her eyes widened and she ran up to him with the obvious question in her eyes.
"Madam, Sir...I mean...accident...umm... cant find him...called the police, they are searching for the body..."
"What body! Are you mad! He must be there only you fool...Vinod! Get my car keys... Where did the accident take place!"
Without waiting for an answer she started pacing toward her car, as the driver started following her explaining the exact spot. By the time they reached the spot, the driver was in tears of repentance but he could not help as the brakes had failed was his continuous reasoning.
She hushed him and got off her car and went straight to her beloveds car. The police had managed to find the car from the forest but her husband was missing. She smirked at the inspector who indicated that they cannot find the body.
" My husband is perfectly fine and probably went to take a walk in the forest while waiting for your slow rescue team. Thank you officer I will find him by myself!" and she walked into the dark forest, two officers accompanied her without further reasoning.
It is just 45 years and a week into their married life. She opened the door once again... once again the cold air came in and gave her goosebumps. She stood by the door knowing well her heart beat could-not lie. The wait was not over yet, her belief in his last words was not over yet...
