Serendipity

I was lost in vain but we found each other

You provided me warmth in winter's wrath

Quenched my thirst in the worst drought

Never left me even in the blooming of spring

You remained strong when everything withers

You have the beauty of a garden's flowers

And a heart of gold like in the deepest oceans

We both lost what we once carefully guarded

But we quietly promised not to experience our past

We have home in each other's hearts

What we have is worth keeping

We face the odds no matter what hand in hand

And I swear I'll never do the same mistakes

For it took me years to trust again

Yet you were patient to gain it

You gave me more than what I asked

And above all I felt home

Thank you for giving me a family
