Somebody Else

Info

Carry the fierce unrequited love
for once
the same way
I did for you
and you'd know.
oh, how you'd see,
the pretentious reflection,
laughing back at you.
the unforeseen scars
you'd always deny to predict.
because you'd be scared,
scared to lose
even the little
unfed pieces of love.
but don't worry,
your wounds would dry,
stitched,
and filled with emptiness,
with stories
that were meant to be an
epitome of forever.
the fire inside,
it would scream and shout
and burn
if you dared to remember
our first touch,
the touch of influence.
you'd sob,
you'd cry,
the silence,
It'd be quieter than ever,
and, oh, your dear soul,
It would refuse
to synthesize.
your shattered part,
you'd want it to be caressed,
but how could you?
the child inside
would be too petrified
to give it to someone else.
the hauntingly beautiful dreams
of lights,
of warmth,
of fights,
of inculcations,
and of all those promised nights,
compiling
to nothing.
nothing but
being somebody else;
all this time.
