He was busy in his office partying with his colleagues, glasses in hands all giggles everywhere..lot of amusement, fun and cheerful atmosphere...meanwhile she was hurrying up to home looking at her watch and mumbling..Oh God! I am late so much to do at home.
There were rounds of glasses in party and jokes. One of his friends said " Yar shadi ke bad life to jhand hai apna sahi hai koi tension nahi...and there were laughter all around".
She reached home with four heavy bags in her hands full of groceries, she was sweating as she had walked from shop to shop, bargaining for single penny. She struggled to open the door and finally enetered her house with a sigh of relief.
Meanwhile he husband commented at the party " Ha yar shadi karke pachta raha hu, pehle hi sahi tha" and then they all approached the dinner table.
She immediately started cooking : His favourite bhindi ki sabji, her throat was drying as she not even had a glass of water since she came from the office. She went to the fridge and gulped a glass of cold water. Sweat was running down from all her body.
She called him after finishing cooking, he said he has just left " Bahut kam tha aj"
She keeps on waiting and he finally comes at 10:30. She suddenly wakes up as she just napped because of being exhausted. Smiling she goes to the fridge and bring a chilled glass of Rooh Afza which is his favourite and asked" Aj bhut late ho gaye", " Han kam bahut tha uske bad party bhi thi"
She displays food and thinks he would like the taste of his favourite sabji. Taking a bite or two he said" Mai batana bhul gya, mne dinner wahi kha liya tha. Bas ek roti khaunga". She looks at him with dissapointment and finishes her dinner. While cleaning utensils she is dozing and tired.
And another day of her happy married life comes to an end.
