According to Wikipedia, a sundial “is a device that determines the time of day by the position of the Sun.” which means that the sundial is literally useless in the shade . Neither the high temperature nor opaque shape that provides the shade keep the device in the shade . It is the sundial that decided not to be practically a sundial . To be honest , sundials enjoy being in the sun , because at the end of the day , it is what makes them special . However , we cannot deny that a sundial got other options in the shade . It will rust , malfunction and forget what it is made for . Gradually , it will pretend that being created to be a sundial was a mistake done by the creator . Unconsciously , it will dream about all the things it could do if it had surrendered to the sun and remember that once it had a choice .
We all have gifts and your gift is your obligation to the world . So don't you ever dare to choose to be a hidden superpower of creativity and just disappear in the dark . You were made for a noble purpose . Do not waste the thing that will set that spark inside of you on fire . You are dying to feel it . It is in your inward eye , in every thought that comes to you before you sleep and in all the inexpressible feelings you have to say . It even runs in your veins reminding you even if you are trying to forget who you really are .
Use every skill you have . Exhaust you talents . Take the hard path of life . Do not be satisfied by sitting there pretending you are someone else . Do it until the spark inside of you is unbearable . Because the feeling is worth it . You were not sculptured in heaven to be rusted in the shade . You are worth much more . The part where you decide to go to the sun is the part where you find out who you are . The part where all the things that seemed legendary are now within reach . Always remember .. you should be a beaming sundial in the sun not in the shade.
