When Would You Return?

"When Would You Return?"

The Friday is down and the night is up,

Dad, I am sitting in your room,

Still woke up;

Weekdays are over and weekend is near,

Mom & I waiting for you to show up.

We would go to the water park,

You promised us,

We would travel around the city & break our legs,

You assured us,

Dad, It’s been a long time,

Mom misses your hugs and kisses,

And I had been through the times,

Wondering do you really care for our wishes?

We understand that you are working hard for us,

We agree that you always do what is best for us,

You make the things work out in the crowded world,

But please notice you are unable to keep your word,

Please come, Dad, please show up,

I am sitting in your room,

Still woke up.

Last night you fought with mother,

You thudded the dining table, and screamed at me,

You went out of the house taking the car key,

As I hear your car going away at clock 9,

Mom hugged me and said everything is fine,

You had a terrible day and albeit you are angry,

But your heart is kind,

Smile on her lips which she managed to summon up,

Dad, weekends are arriving,

Mom & I waiting for you to show up.

The night is gone and the twilight is reaching us,

You are not coming back,

Forcing us to feel you left us,

But Hope in the eyes, my gaze is unmoved,

I am looking out through the window,

Waiting for you to get back and cuddle us,

Few cars passed by & several headlights went by,

But neither you are coming nor your call arrive,

Please come, Dad, please show up,

I am sitting in your room,

Still woke up.

Weekdays are over and weekend is near,

Mom & I waiting for you to show up.
