A Strange Encounter with the Lovebirds

Info

It was another of those boring assembly speeches in my school. I was standing along with my friends who just like me, were impatiently waiting for the assembly to get over.
While my eyes strayed from here to there, trying to locate all my friends and thinking who would be the butt of joke in my friend group today, I suddenly noticed three pigeons in the garden right behind the stage where the seemingly never-ending speech went on and on.
Ohkay! Tbh, there is nothing so special in 3 pigeons in a garden. Your face must be showing the exression "what is the big deal man ??" But hold on, there was a bit more than what men the eye.
I don't know how but i just had a hunch that one of them was a male pigeon while the other two were female pigeons. This came out of nowhere, but I swear I felt sure that I was correct.
My restless mind started to wander again but I was stuck to that place when I saw something astonishing. The male pigeon (lets name him Obi) stood where he was while the female pigeons (lets call them Shar and Rine) went in two different directions. If this was not enough strange for me, i noticed that Shar flew to the bowl of water kept for pigeons in the school garden and Rine stood high up on a swing some metres away. The poise with which both the female pigeons held their neck up was so strikingly similar to our Bollywood divas that i couldn't stop smiling. My friend, out of nowhere, poked me and asked why i was smiling. Too engrossed in the scene that was about to enfold in front of me, i ignored her enquiry.
And now Obi went to Shar (oh! Poor Rine). But i am sure Rine wasn't the kind to accept defeat easily. She started walking along the edge of the swing with so much elegance that i am sure she could be the showstopper in the next Fashion Week. And Obi (i should add, he must have been a pigeon of a very shallow character) left Shar where she was and flew to the swing to be along with Rine.
In those moments, I remembered the Obi of my life. Certainly a month ago he was with me but then citing some 'concentration, study, parents, dislodging from goals' kind of issues, we separated. And now, he was with this new girl, he denied being involved with her but anyways he spent so much time with her that there was no way to have two opinions that they will have a scene in the near future.
To stop thinking about my Obi, i tried to shift back my attention to the trio but then i saw all three of them fly together. The first thing that i said was "WTF!!" Suddenly my friend, now completely disgusted, pinched me really hard and asked what it was. Just as i was about to point out to that pack of pigeons, they were no more in sight and fairly enough, the speech got over.
Instead of explaining the big scene of Obi, Shar and Rine to my friend, i joined the queue going back to our class and slowly whispered to her," Never mind..."
