Tell me

Before I let go of all the hopes I still had after all these times,
Please tell me that you're fine.

Please tell me that you are doing well and happier.  Tell me you're drowning in somebody else's eyes that was far more beautiful than mine. And that you have moved far from where I left you.

Before I turn my back to you again,  before I turn my back for good,
Please tell me she'll stay right by your side,
Through the storms, the floods, and the sunshines.

My love tell me she's loving you right,
That she got her eyes fixed on your smiles
That her hands are meant only for the spaces in yours.
That she'll shout her lungs out, that she'll dance and sing to cheer for you.

Tell me she loves you and your flaws.
And please say that she adores you and the glows of your eyes when you look at the moon,  and that she'll rather see them sparkling than the stars.

Tell me she has memorized where your birthmarks are,  tell me she knew that you had them in your arm, and in your belly.

Tell me you told her already about your scars, those that are visible in your body, and the ones that I caused in your heart.
And tell me, my love, that she promised you she'll never do the same, that she'll never scar your heart like I did.
And tell me how her smiles built you another home.

Tell me she can handle you when your drunk or when you're mad and that she'll love you still after seeing you scream,  after seeing your worst.

Before I move again,
And forget how our love mattered to me,
Before I stop dreaming and reaching for the dreams we had back then,
Please tell me,
tell me that you're fine.

Just tell me, and worry not about me and my heart,  sooner  too, I'll be fine just like you.
