I don’t want that kind of love that conquers the world but I prefer the one that runs away from it. It’s not about being perfect lovers like you see in romantic movies but we could be as flawed as we can be. We embrace each other’s imperfections instead of fixing one another.
I’ll risk getting caught just to have rendezvous with you. Let’s drive the night with the windows down, feeling the wind touching our face and how we never felt so alive. Let’s lie under the stars while you wrap me in your arms. Seconds with you felt like an eternity that I would beg God to have more of it with you.
We could be reckless and get in trouble or we could be very careful but comfortable under the sheets. We can stay all night watching movies, eating popcorn and drinking cheap liquor. We can talk about our dreams and our deepest fears or how annoying your neighbor is. I'll watch you speak and have all ears for every word you say.
Let’s do some adventure and turn them into memories together. I can be your rock when you can’t stand still. I will always believe you and I won’t try to fix you but I would rather listen and make you feel your worth it. I will support your dreams even if it doesn’t include me but I will write poems for every moment I spent with you, making our love immortal if ever fate sabotages it.
