Just as quickly as seasons start,
I felt the kiss of your laughter like a warm summer breeze,
The crunch of sand as we danced in flirtation,
And the calm of the sea as I waded in your dreams.
I let myself float.
And just as quickly as seasons change,
I drown in the ocean of your memories.
Barely keeping myself afloat,
Barely catching air to breathe,
And barely feeling my limbs as I struggle against the crashing waves.
I let myself sink.
Drifting in and out of consciousness,
Not wanting to be saved.
