Wounds

Let go of what you've been holding on to for so long,

as though it will come back to you in some form or the other.

Strings you've been holding on too tight

has scratched your palm so vile,

open your fist for the first time

look at the wounds dug deeper for all this while.

Make sure that you don't regret those wounds,

for those have been your evidence 

to all the lies you've been told,

but, they've burnt you enough to mold.

As you let go of the strings you've been holding on to

Make sure you don't let go of what they've taught you.

One day you'll get a person, that will hold on to you

as you move ahead in life, they'll move with you.

Then for the first time in a while, you'll see

all those scars have been just for you to become the person you're today,

those wounds which have left their mark

 will make you shine more than ever that day.
