Treasure found at last

At first he looked so tough,
no one can tell he has these scars.
Been trying to cover it up,
not knowing she loves it like they're stars.

There's a man deep inside,
trying to crawl out of the dark.
He's afraid that he has died,
but he looked at her and then he cracked.

He's always wanted to fly,
look for tranquility in another land.
He felt her arms and realized,
every peace was there to find.

After he saw all her flaws,
he adored her all the more.
He finally learned that an angel too,
can be broken up to the core.

He was scared to finally fall,
the thing he never had to do.
He was scared that he would crawl,
but with her now he's willing to.

For all the scars he tried to hide,
Here he stands without his mask
He knelt down and asked his bride,
Will you stay with me and make this last?
