Actuators are mechanical/electro-mechanical devices used for controlling, positioning and limiting the movements in an industrial setting that are originally functioned manually, electrically or via a certain medium such as air, hydraulics so on.
The two significant types of motions are rotary and linear where linear actuators perform straight line or linear motion for normal operations such as positioning, push and pull. That said, some of the linear actuators are manually functioned either with a circulating handle or hand wheel.
Rotary actuators, on the contrary, alter the energy and use the conversion power for rotary motion. One of the primary purposes is controlling various valves such as butterfly or ball movement. For different power configurations there’s a particular version of the actuator, available in appropriate size and style, based on the application.
Types
Putting it simple, electric actuator is a type of gear motor of varying voltages and one of the primary components to generate torque. To prevent pulling extreme power or current, electric actuator motors are incorporated with thermal overload sensors in the motor windings.
Electric motor has an armature, a gear train and an electrical winding. On supplying power to the winding, a magnetic field is produced which rotates the armature, that keeps on turning unless the power supply has been discontinued.
The actuators rely on a gear train that’s directly attached from the motor for better torque and output speed which can be altered to fit as per length of the cycle control module. This particular module allow increase only in the cycle time however if reduction is much needed, an alternate actuator of the relevant cycle time and appropriate output torque has to be used.
Smart Linear Electric Actuator
This particular type of actuator is high in terms of quality, design precision, stability, durability and safety. Environment of application has to be broad, likewise to all other types of valve and ball valves such as butterfly and control so on.
Rotary Electric Cut off
This allows integrated standard signal and alters it into an equivalent angular displacement which gives mechanical control of the valve for better automatic modification task. In the automatic change, the intrusion-free physical, mechanical and bidirectional controlling of the system can be identified. It consists of two parts namely the actuator and servo amplifier whereas can be controlled physically or remotely from a certain distance.
Linear Electric Cut off
This actuator comes with two types of power supply model like AC single-phase and three-phase power supply. The latest version of electric actuator has been established from regulator control signal to achieve a planned linear responding motion. This structure of electric actuators is employed as regulating valve actuator almost with control valve which requires a range of action change function. It’s widely used in many different industries such as power generation, paper making, metallurgical, petrochemical, light and environmental protection agencies.
Rotary Electric Regulating Type
This actuator is a 100% electronic actuator input signals from the PC, regulator or operator work with a single phase power output such as driving power source and offered with a servo system. An additional servo amplifier is unnecessary. The input component ‘controller’ can accept sophisticated integrated circuits, hardened by resin pouring thus being highly inconsistence and opposing to vibration as well as moisture.
