He smiled and my heart starts to beat fast,
I finally saw how happiness forms, at last!
Glitters of light filled my once dark world,
Everyday I live waiting for stories to be told.
I saw him smile for the second time,
This time, I found the perfect rhyme
Like, " destiny must have been you,
And I will soon see "Me" in "You".
You smiled again and I don't know what to do
Wherever I look, everything reminds me of you
I stayed awake each night trying to write our story,
Where You and I starred in a romantic comedy.
But he continues to shine 'til I can no longer see him clearly
And I realized he doesn't even know a single thing about me.
So I decided to climb the golden stairs where he stands
And shine even brighter than him just to hold his hand.
Then one day he suddenly stopped smiling
And that begins to bother my whole being.
They said he likes somebody else
But she never returned his feelings in years.
So I gave up just like that and returned to where I was before.
I'll just watch him from a distance, beyond the broken door.
I left to mend and fix a broken heart
I will begin to dream again from the very start.
