as if gravity fails to do its job,
As if we're not meant
to be in the crowd
or in the mob,
As if we're not created
to make a big difference,
As if our lives are not designed
to make an inference,
As if we're destined
to ignore all things that define us,
As if our dreams are made
to break, destroy, and divide us,
As if our thoughts are ready
to skin the world and peel us,
As if living our own lives
means losing and leaving us,
As if dumping our existence
makes us quite noteworthy,
And as if forgetting who we are
makes us trustworthy!
