Warm Like Blood

Info

The evenings bring with a coat of cold

And twilight's fading darkness

Warms me with the warmth of drunk awakening.

All that was blurred becomes clearer now -

The hands that throttle in caresses.

The raven beaks that peck at wounds fresh

And flesh screaming in agony.

Invisible forms are roaming about the night

Clad in blood and rubble

His Highness denying them entrance into cradling hands

And demons mocking at the rotting flesh.

A girl is sitting alone by the road

Drawing her wasted rags about her form for moral cold.

Wishes cannot get her home

Nor would the Almighty Heavens descend.

My lips speak words they are unworthy of

For my eyes are keen yet blind.

Cover me in the mystic of the blue tonight

Let me be the threads of hell and heaven intertwined

Let my anger be a destructive dance

And my pleading bring back that undead to life.

Paint me in the cosmic shades

Let me not dwell but only float and fade

Till nothing but the empty feels full

And all that was full be drained to dregs

Emptied to live among narrowing roads.
